Directions to the Cemetery
From Highway 266: Turn south on Highway Z at Halltown and cross I-44. The cemetery is to the left (or east) as you cross I-44.
From I-44: Take the Halltown exit very carefully and slowly — there is a sharp curve instead of a gradual ramp like most exits. Turn right onto Highway Z and cross I-44. The cemetery is on your left (east).
Chapel Hours & Annual Meeting
The cemetery is open to visitors year-round during daylight hours. The chapel is open during Memorial Week.
Memorial Week chapel hours: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through the following Monday surrounding Memorial Day.
Annual Association Board Meeting: The board holds its annual association meeting in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. each year the Saturday before Memorial Day. All are welcome to attend.
Board Members
A five-member, all-volunteer board governs the cemetery. Members serve three-year terms expiring in yearly rotations of two/three seats. Floor nominations must be submitted in writing at least two weeks prior to the annual meeting.
The board is currently seeking members for two open seats and welcomes anyone interested in an Alternate position. Please reach out to any board member.
Things to Remember When You Visit
The days and weeks leading up to Memorial Day see a lot of activity. Please be courteous and cautious on the cemetery roads — some graves are closer to the road than they seem.
Our cemetery has an ever-changing topography where holes, headstones, and the potential for sunken graves exist. By entering, you agree to hold the Cemetery Association, its members, operators, and officers harmless from any and all claims, damages, or injuries arising from your presence on these grounds. Please exercise caution at all times.
Wind and storms often blow flowers from the wrong headstone or end up in the chapel. Please attach a tag to your flowers or saddle indicating the name and dates on the headstone and the section if you know it, so we can put them back in the right place.
Flags for veterans are free and available daily on the front porch of the chapel during the entire week before and including Memorial Day.
For a small donation or an obituary solicitation, the chapel is available for funerals, memorial services, family gatherings, etc. Please let us know your needs and we'll try to accommodate.
